What is 3D printing, and how does it work?
3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is a cutting-edge technology that creates three-dimensional objects by adding material layer by layer. It starts with a digital 3D model created using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This digital model is then sliced into thin horizontal cross-sections. The 3D printer reads these slices and, depending on the technology used, selectively deposits, cures, or fuses material, such as plastic, metal, or resin, layer by layer. As each layer solidifies, it bonds to the previous one, gradually building the physical object. This additive process allows for incredible design freedom, enabling the creation of intricate and customized items, from prototypes and parts to artistic sculptures and medical implants.
What materials can you 3D print with?
We print primeraly with a plastic called PLA. PLA is a biodegradable, biocompatible, and environmentally friendly material that is at the same time strong and durable. We offer a variety of colors to choose from.
What file formats are accepted for 3D printing?
We accept .stl or Fusion360 files
Can you help with designing my 3D model?
Absolutly. Please reach out to us and we will get back to you as soon as we can yo help you build what you need.
What is the typical turnaround time for a 3D printing project?
Depends on what you need and how complex it is. For smaller projects, it can take 2 weeks to ship, while larger projects can take a couple of weeks.
What is the maximum size of an object you can 3D print?
We can print objects up to 300x300x300mm. Keep in mind that there are many ways to simplify the design and reduce the size of your object. If you have a bigger object in mind, you can always divide it up into smaller peaces.
